Fitness classes explained

Aqua Aerobics
The perfect class for those who have to avoid impact exercise, a total body workout using the natural resistance to water to increase body strength and stamina; and avoid injury.

Balance/Stretching
comprises scientifically-developed combination of some Tai Chi and Pilates elements, combined with Yoga moves. All set to calming music, it’s easy to forget that throughout the session, you’re setting both your body and your mind a series of challenges that have been specifically developed to make you both more flexible and stronger, too.

HIIT
High-intensity interval training is a form of interval training, a cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less intense recovery periods, until too exhausted to continue.

Legs, Bums and Tums
popular group exercise class which targets the legs, bum and tum area to shape and tone the body. It is an exercise class that will tone and sculpt key body areas using specific exercises. It's a great workout so give it a go. Helping you be fit for life.

Pilates
Pilates concentrates on slow, measured repetitive movements with the intention of strengthening lesser-used muscles. It uses mainly floor-based exercises and improves posture, injury prevention and improves core strength.

Prenatal Yoga
For those who have never tried yoga before this is easily accessible for all! Excellent for prepping for labour, works on Pranayama breathing control and bonding with baby in the womb. Please check with your medical practitioner before joining the classes to ensure they are suitable.

Postnatal Yoga
For those who have done yoga leading up to the birth can begin out post-natal classes straight away. For those who are brand new to yoga must wait the 6 weeks recovery time. These classes are for Mum only (not a Baby and child class).

Pump Fit
is the original barbell workout that exercises all the major muscle groups for a more toned, fitter and healthier you. Use weight-room exercises like squats, lifts and curls to give your legs, arms and upper body a complete workout.

Spinning
A spin workout is for absolutely anyone who wants to have fun and get fit. It's a super aerobic workout on a studio cycle that takes your fitness to the next level. No co-ordination required.

Yoga
Yoga is the combination of breathing, meditation and stretching. The aim is to balance mental and physical state and improve general wellbeing.

Zumba
is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training.

Our 45 minute classes are £4.50, 60 minute classes are £5.50 and our 75 minute classes are £6.80.

The Gym within Trinity Arts & Leisure is an informal relaxed place for exercise. After an induction with a member of staff, you are free to use the gym at any time during our normal opening hours. Please note we operate a strict Health & Safety policy for the use of the gym.
